Color me curious
Introduced in 2024, Bar Trigona’s Colour Me Curious menu has garnered much attention for its innovative and playful mixology. Guests can enjoy a range of vibrant cocktails that showcase the colours, aromas and flavours of Malaysia, inspired by the country’s rich natural resources. With a second edition of this menu on the way, there’s plenty to look forward to.
Sustainability Story
Trigona Bar embraces a “farm to glass” philosophy, with an emphasis on using locally grown ingredients. By working closely with local farmers and producers, the bar supports sustainable practices and promotes local agriculture. Cocktails feature locally sourced fruits, herbs, spices and flowers, with an emphasis on making the most of every ingredient to minimize waste.
“In addition to reducing food waste and carbon emissions, our zero-waste technologies also help us discover unusual new flavours,” Rohan adds, pointing to the beverage team’s creative use of often overlooked ingredient parts such as seeds, leaves and roots.
All about honey
The name, decor and cocktails of Trigona Bar share a common thread: Trigona Honey. Overlooking Kuala Lumpur, the bar features a beehive-inspired design, paying homage to this sweet origin story.
Known for its unique citrus flavour, Trigona honey is produced by stingless bees from tropical Malaysia. Guests can experience seasonal variations through a special honey tasting journey. The bar sources organic and sustainable Trigona artisanal honey from local partners.
Since its inception, Bar Trigona has embraced several eco-friendly initiatives aimed at preserving Malaysian bee habitats, protecting biodiversity and empowering local communities. The popular Adopt a Beehive programme allows guests to symbolically adopt a Trigona beehive, supporting sustainable beekeeping practices.
