Luxor, Egypt, is famous for its massive historic temples, the nearby Valley of the Kings and its magnificent stone statues, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Travellers can now access the area more easily thanks to a new route launched by low-cost airline easyJet, which offers direct flights from London Gatwick Airport.
Starting from 11 November 2024, the new route will include flights departing London (LGW) at 9:05am and arriving at Luxor International Airport (LXR) at 4:25pm, with a total flight duration of five hours and twenty minutes.
Travel + Leisure reports that round-trip fares on this new route start from just $244 in EasyJet’s Standard class, which includes a small cabin bag. Additional charges apply for carry-on and checked baggage. Tickets for this route are available for booking from November to March 2025 on the EasyJet website.
In addition, easyJet will launch a new service to Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt on 14 February 2025. With these new routes, easyJet claims to offer more seats to Egypt from the UK than any other airline. Frequent flyers to the region appreciate the new route for reducing travel time.
