French eco-friendly sports footwear company Vega has appointed Anthony Boone as its director of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Anthony Boone, who previously worked at Royer Group and VF Corp, takes over from Arto Frenoy, who has become director of sales for Asia.
Anthony Boone began his career in 1994 as Sales Manager for Timberland. After a stint at Italian food group Ferrero and then optics specialist L’Amy Group, he joined Quiksilver’s technical division in 2003 as Sales Manager for Europe and the Middle East.
In 2009, he joined the American group VF Corp, where he remained for eight years, notably as director of France, Spain and Portugal for the Timberland brand. In 2017, Anthony Boone joined the French footwear specialist Royer as managing director of the fashion and retail division. Since 2020, Anthony Boone has been working as an independent consultant for small and medium-sized companies.
Founded in 2005 by Sébastien Copp and François-Ghislain Morellion, Veja produces its sneakers in Brazil and recently opened a production unit in Portugal. It has eight stores in France, Germany, the United States and Spain and is present in nearly 3,000 retail outlets. Veja aims to achieve sales of €180 million by 2022, with more than 4 million pairs of shoes sold worldwide.
