Today’s Microsoft outage disrupted passenger check-in services for several airlines. However, check-in has now been completed for all affected departures, and operations at the departure lounge at Hong Kong International Airport have returned to normal.
During the unrest, the Airport Authority of Hong Kong (AAHK) implemented crowd control measures at the terminal to ensure an orderly check-in process for passengers of affected airlines. Additional AAHK and airport security staff were deployed to assist affected passengers on site.
Airport operations and flight operations continued normally.
AAHK will continue to communicate closely with airlines. Passengers travelling on affected airlines are advised to stay updated with flight information.
