Ambassador Cruises, a specialized cruise company, has launched the “One Adventure – Two Wonders” cruise, which sails through the stunning karst formations of Vietnam’s UNESCO World Heritage-listed Halong and Lan Ha Bays.
The adventure begins when guests embark on Ambassador Cruise 1 in Halong Bay, the fleet’s most luxurious ship featuring 46 well-appointed cabins, each with private balconies or terraces, two sun decks offering 360-degree views, a sophisticated piano lounge, multiple bars, an outdoor Jacuzzi, and a full-service spa.
Day one activities include an open lunch against a panoramic backdrop of Halong Bay’s famous limestone islands, a visit to Loon Cave via bamboo boat or kayak, and a specially prepared dinner at the onboard gourmet restaurant. In addition, guests visit Titov Island, famous for its unique crescent-shaped beach and a peak that offers sweeping views of the bay.
On the second day, the tour continues with a tour of Song Sot Cave, the largest and most impressive cave in Halong Bay, filled with magnificent stalactites. Guests then disembark at Halong International Cruise Port to explore Quang Ninh Museum, which displays a vast collection of antiquities and includes the largest whale skeleton in Vietnam, before visiting other important cultural sites such as Dong Pagoda.
The cruise then departs to the lesser-known waters of Lan Ha Bay on board the Ambassador Signature Cruise ship. This ship features 39 luxurious cabins, spacious sun decks, fine dining facilities, a piano lounge, a spa, and a unique water slide leading directly into the emerald waters of the bay. Highlights include a sumptuous lunch and a Michelin-starred dinner.
The third day of the trip includes exploring the light and dark caves by bamboo boat or kayak, revealing more stunning stalactites and a tranquil lake surrounded by towering limestone cliffs.
Passengers can start their day with sunrise Tai Chi sessions on the deck, followed by a continental breakfast at the piano bar and a gourmet breakfast in the dining area. The cruise also offers happy hour, live music, spa treatments and squid fishing, enhancing the relaxing experience.
While Lan Ha Bay reflects the beauty of Halong Bay, it remains relatively untouched by tourism, offering a quiet and exclusive atmosphere.
