The celebrations kick off on 22 July with an exciting tour of the resort’s cultural exhibition, Maji Haya, kicking off a week of cultural exploration. On 23 July, the celebrations continue with an unforgettable Maldivian night at Kakuni Restaurant, where guests can enjoy a traditional feast served in the Malavai style, followed by a magical Boduberu performance.
On July 25, culinary enthusiasts can join an exciting Maldivian cooking class led by the talented Executive Chef, Chef Moosa Nazih, also at Kakoni. Here, guests will have the chance to learn the secrets behind some of the country’s most popular dishes.
The week culminates on July 26, Maldives Independence Day, with a traditional flag raising ceremony on the beach. Guests can join in the national pride as the Maldivian national anthem plays in the air, marking the perfect end to a week of cultural immersion.
The celebrations culminate with a Maldivian afternoon tea at Veli Bar, where guests can enjoy delicious local delicacies. As they savor the flavors, they are enchanted by the rhythmic beats of a stunning Boduberu performance.
