Norse Atlantic is pleased to announce the successful completion of a historic charter flight between Norway and Darwin, Australia. Chartered by Albastar SA and brokered by Aircontact, Scandinavia’s largest air broker, this historic flight represents the first direct flight from Norway to Australia. The groundbreaking flight took off at 6:30am on Saturday 3 August from Oslo Gardermoen Airport and landed at Darwin International Airport at 6:00am on Sunday 4 August. The non-stop flight covered approximately 14,730 kilometres in a flight time of 16.5 hours, and demonstrated the incredible performance and efficiency of the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner over long distances. Renowned for its fuel efficiency, passenger comfort and environmental benefits, the Dreamliner is uniquely suited to long-haul flights such as this.
