Volaris, the popular Mexican low-cost airline, plans to significantly expand its network from Monterrey by launching seven new routes in November 2024. This expansion will include three routes to the United States, providing more travel options for passengers and enhancing Monterrey’s connectivity. The new routes will be served by the airline’s modern A320neo aircraft, known for their fuel efficiency and passenger comfort.
Overview of new routes
Starting November 3, 2024, Volaris will reintroduce and launch several routes from Monterrey, enhancing domestic and international travel opportunities.
Monterey – Chicago O’Hare: Beginning November 3, 2024, Volaris will resume service to Chicago’s O’Hare Airport with four weekly flights. This route, which was last served in April 2018, will once again connect Monterrey to one of the busiest airports in the United States, making travel easier for both business and leisure travelers.
Monterrey – Ciudad Obregon: Starting November 4, 2024, Volaris will offer three weekly flights to Ciudad Obregón. This new service will provide passengers with more options for domestic travel within Mexico.
Monterrey – Los Mochis: Volaris will also start operating three weekly flights to Los Mochis from November 4, 2024. This route will enhance connectivity for travelers to and from this important city in Sinaloa.
Monterey – Oakland: Starting November 5, 2024, Volaris will launch three weekly flights to Oakland. This new route will serve passengers traveling between Monterey and the San Francisco Bay Area, a major technology and business hub.
Monterrey – Oaxaca: Starting November 3, 2024, Volaris will resume its services to Oaxaca with four weekly flights. This route, the last of which was introduced in May 2020, will reconnect Monterrey with the cultural and historical richness of Oaxaca.
Monterrey – Queretaro: Starting November 3, 2024, Volaris will offer daily service to Querétaro. This route, last offered in March 2018, will provide daily connectivity to one of Mexico’s main industrial and economic centers.
Monterey – San Antonio: Beginning November 3, 2024, Volaris will offer daily service to San Antonio, Texas. This new route will serve both business and leisure travelers, strengthening ties between Monterey and this major Texas city.
