CSMIA, managed by Adani Airport Holdings, is set to celebrate Aviation Security Culture Week from August 5-11, 2024, with a focus on enhancing passenger security.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport CSMIA, managed by Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, part of the globally diversified Adani Group, is all set to celebrate Aviation Security Culture Week from August 5 to August 11, 2024. This year’s theme, ‘Enhancing Passenger Security through Effective Exit’, focuses on raising awareness and strengthening security measures within the aviation sector and among travellers. CSMIA aims to showcase its strong commitment to security and passenger safety.
The celebrations will begin with a grand opening ceremony in Terminal 2, including the lighting of the lights and opening speeches. Written by Mr. Prakash Nikam AmritRegional Director, Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) for Mumbai Region, and the official swearing-in session. Highlights of the week include an exciting 5 km mini marathon passing important landmarks like Shivaji Smarak and ending at the airport.
CSMIA’s Aviation Security Culture Week promises a variety of engaging and innovative activities. The airport will host an interactive quiz for aviation stakeholders, exciting ‘spin the wheel’ competitions, and selfie spots in Terminals 1 and 2. Demonstrating its commitment to the community, CSMIA will conduct an awareness campaign for underprivileged children through educational visits to schools and informal settlements, in collaboration with local NGOs. In addition, staff members will provide entertainment for passengers, underscoring the airport’s commitment to promoting a culture of security.
The week will conclude with a closing ceremony featuring awards to competition winners and a lively dance performance, celebrating the successful efforts to raise awareness of aviation security.
