United Airlines has launched a groundbreaking flight schedule designed to simplify travel for Chicago Bears fans attending away games this season. For the first time, the airline is adjusting the departure times of six flights, allowing fans to return home on the same night as away games. Additionally, United is deploying larger aircraft on two routes and adding an additional nonstop flight between O’Hare International Airport and London Heathrow Airport for the Bears’ Week 6 game against the Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, resulting in a total of four nonstop flights to London.
The NFL reports that Chicago Bears fans are some of the most enthusiastic travelers, with more than 76,000 fans set to attend away games during the 2023-24 season.

United Airlines, Chicago’s largest airline, offers more than 500 daily departures from O’Hare International Airport, offering direct flights to 148 U.S. cities and more than 40 international destinations.
For more than 50 years, United Airlines has been the official airline of the Chicago Bears, flying the team to more than 350 games and facilitating travel for thousands of fans each season. The airline and the team frequently partner on community initiatives in the Chicago area. For example, earlier this summer, Chicago Bears quarterback Cole Kmett joined United’s Special Olympics service ambassadors to raise awareness of the organization’s travel requirements.

United Airlines is enhancing travel options for fans to attend every away game this season with the following updates:
- Rescheduled return flightsFans can now choose to return to Chicago the same night or the next morning for seven games:
- Houston, Texas (IAH) September 15th – Departs at 11:59pm
- Indianapolis, Indiana (IND) September 22nd – Departs at 7:19pm
- Phoenix, Arizona (PHX) November 3rd – Departs at 8:45pm
- Detroit, Michigan (DTW) November 28th – Departure at 5:30pm
- San Jose, California (SJC) December 8th – Departure at 7:00pm
- Minneapolis, Minnesota (MSP) December 17th – Departs at 7:20am (next morning)
- Green Bay, Wisconsin (GRB) January 5th – Departs at 7:41pm
- bigger planesUnited will operate larger aircraft between Chicago’s O’Hare Airport and Reagan National Airport on Oct. 27 and to Green Bay, Wisconsin, when the game date is confirmed.
- Additional flights to LondonAn additional direct flight will be available between Chicago O’Hare Airport and London Heathrow Airport on October 9 and 10, and the return on October 14 and 15.
