Fiji Airways is set to launch its first ever direct flights between Nadi, Fiji, and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas, USA, starting in December 2024.
The new 13-hour service will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using Fiji Airways’ state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft. The aircraft features 301 Economy Class seats, recently named Best Economy Class in Australasia and the Pacific at the 2024 Skytrax World Airline Awards, along with 33 Business Class seats that can be converted into flat beds, all with aisle access.
The inaugural flight is scheduled for 10 December 2024, and special introductory fares are now available for purchase on Fiji Airways’ website at fijiairways.com.
Speaking about the new route, Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director, Andre Viljoen, said: “Introducing direct service between Fiji and Dallas is a truly exciting milestone for Fiji Airways, as we continue to increase Fiji’s connectivity to the United States and beyond by offering more convenient travel options for our guests.”
The new service to Dallas is part of several recent initiatives by Fiji Airways, including its upcoming membership in American Airlines’ AAdvantage® loyalty program and plans to become the 15th full member of the oneworld alliance in 2025. Soon, American Airlines’ AAdvantage® and oneworld members will be able to earn and redeem frequent flyer miles and earn status credits when flying with Fiji Airways, further enhancing the airline’s connectivity and loyalty offerings.

To celebrate the announcement, Fiji Airways is offering special round-trip fares from select locations in Texas to Nadi, Fiji, starting at just $699. Additionally, the airline is offering fares from Dallas to Fiji Airways destinations in Australia and New Zealand starting at $899.
Fiji’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Strategic Planning, National Development and Statistics, Professor Biman PrasadHe expressed his enthusiasm for the announcement, saying: “Fiji’s new direct route to Dallas is an exciting development for Fiji and will help pave the way for expanded tourism and trade opportunities between our two countries.”
Dallas will be Fiji Airways’ 24th direct international route and the fifth North American destination served by the airline, following Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu and Vancouver.
