This summer, Emirates is doing its best to simplify the travel experience from Dubai. As the busy travel season kicks off on July 6, Emirates is not only offering free ice cream, but also providing essential tips for a smooth airport experience.

During busier times, Emirates advises passengers to consider possible traffic delays as they travel to the airport and to expect longer wait times at immigration. For a hassle-free journey, Emirates recommends the following:

1. Arrive at the airport 3 hours before your flight.
2. Complete immigration procedures at least an hour and a half before your flight.
3. Be at the correct boarding gate one hour before departure.

Convenient check-in options:

• Check in to the house: Schedule this service at least 24 hours in advance, and an agent will check you in at your home, hotel or office.
• Mobile App and Website: Use the Emirates app or website to check in, download boarding passes, manage flights and more.
• Early bag delivery: You can leave your luggage at the airport the night before or up to 24 hours before your flight.

Remote check-in locations:

• Dubai International Financial Centre: Use the Emirates City check-in and travel desk in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), which is open daily from 8am to 10pm.
• Ajman Central Bus Station: This property is open 24/7 for travelers from the Northern Emirates.

Duty-free shopping in advance:

Passengers can pre-order duty-free goods online up to 40 hours before their flight, and have them delivered directly to their seats on board.

Enjoy complimentary ice cream at the Red and White Lines carts at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3 every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 6pm, available until July 28. Flavours include vanilla, chocolate and mango sorbet.
