China Southern Airlines and Malaysia Airlines are pleased to announce the expansion of their codeshare flights to include new routes: Guangzhou-Penang (CAN-PEN), Kuala Lumpur-Beijing Daxing (KUL-PKX), and Kuala Lumpur-Shanghai Pudong (KUL-PVG), starting today. This expansion follows the successful launch of codeshare flights on the Guangzhou-Kuala Lumpur route on 6 July 2023, further enhancing connectivity between China and Malaysia and providing travellers with a wider range of travel options.
China Southern Airlines is looking to boost its capacity in the Malaysian market to 73 flights per week, to meet diversified travel needs. In parallel, Malaysia Airlines operates 54 flights per week to various destinations in China, including Guangzhou (CAN), Shanghai Pudong (PVG), Beijing Daxing (PKX) and Xiamen (XMN). This codeshare expansion allows both airlines to provide enhanced connectivity and greater flexibility to passengers, whether they are travelling for business, leisure or other purposes.
