The Department of Tourism, Goa will be participating in the Travel and Tourism Fair (TTF), India’s oldest and largest travel trade fair network, scheduled to be held in Biswa Bangla FestivalKolkata from 12th to 14th July.
Goa Tourism aims to leverage this platform to showcase its unique and diverse tourism offerings and attract travellers on a global scale. The pavilion will highlight the state’s stunning beaches, rich cultural heritage, adventure sports and vibrant festivals, promising a memorable experience for every visitor.
Goa’s tourism offerings at the travel and tourism expo will focus primarily on sustainable initiatives under the regenerative tourism approach. This includes promoting inland exploration, heritage restoration, and spiritual tourism. Visitors will learn about Goa’s green tourism initiatives, sample local cuisine, and gain insight into the state’s efforts to preserve its natural and cultural heritage.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to gain information about the Ekadasha Teertha Circle, which includes 11 temples, and the St. Francis Xavier Exhibition at the Basilica of Bom Jesus in Old Goa from November 21, 2024 to January 5, 2025.
“Participating in the Travel and Tourism Expo 2024 provides us with a great platform to highlight the cultural and natural beauty of Goa and reiterate our commitment to sustainable tourism. Guests visiting the Goa Tourism stand will also have the opportunity to book Goa Tourism accommodation during the trade show,” he said. Sunil Anchipakka, Director Tourism and Managing Director, GTDC.
“We aim to inspire visitors to make responsible travel choices that help preserve our environment and benefit our local communities,” he added.
At the Goa Tourism Pavilion, visitors can look forward to interactive exhibits, engaging discussions and immersive experiences that highlight the harmonious relationship between tourism and sustainability.
