London-based sustainable fashion designer Anna Babici will take centre stage as this season’s key designer at the upcoming Source Fashion trade show.
The Source Catwalk Show will also run multiple times a day from July 14-16 at London’s Olympia Gallery, where sustainable fashion designer Rebecca Roy has designed a new catwalk show showcasing 2025 trends “brought to life through the garments on display at the show”, as well as key looks from Pabissi.
On Sunday (12.25pm), visitors can hear Roy discuss with Babisi “the challenges and creativity required to build a fashion brand that doesn’t cost a lot of money”.
Pabissi’s Hoh Pabissi brand, which debuted at Helsinki Fashion Week in 2018 with its fully biodegradable eveningwear, focuses on “cruelty-free, zero-waste high fashion made in the UK by hand.” It also gives a second life to vintage fabrics “by creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces, using the end of the roll and off-duty textiles to create the most flamboyant garments.”
“Since its launch, Source Fashion has worked to bring together designers and buyers, with a focus on sustainability and fair trade practices on both sides,” said Babisi. “Partnering with the show not only gives me a platform to promote my sustainability-focused brand, but also enables me to meet like-minded people who can help me grow my business and share my journey towards more sustainable and eco-friendly fashion.”
Event director Susan Ellingham added: “Having the opportunity to showcase responsibly made clothing and emerging designers alongside the craftsmanship of our makers and manufacturers adds another element to the show. It’s really about showing what responsibly made fashion looks like today, moving away from concepts to what is being achieved now, and providing inspiration and new ideas.
“The Babisi brand is very selective about its suppliers, and by producing exclusively in the UK and using vintage and antique fabrics, it is able to reduce its carbon footprint while still reducing its environmental impact. It shows that it is possible to build a beautiful brand and collection for the right reasons.”
