Discover Airlines is enhancing the Economy Class experience by offering a premium menu option for guests on short and medium-haul flights. Passengers can now order a gourmet meal tailored to the time of day – whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner.
These gourmet meals are served on elegant chinaware, reflecting the airline’s commitment to reducing the use of plastic and single-use items. Passengers can choose between a meat or vegetable option, to suit their varied dietary preferences.
To take advantage of this new offer, guests can book their meals 72 hours before departure via the Discover Airlines website. The premium menu is available for just €16*, adding a touch of luxury to your Economy Class flight.
“Pampering yourself is part of the best time of the year. That’s why we’re delighted to offer our Economy Class guests on short and medium-haul flights the opportunity to pre-order a special menu.” Patrick Dore saysresponsible for the onboard product at Discover Airlines.
Continuing its commitment to providing an enjoyable in-flight dining experience, Discover Airlines offers passengers a selection of five diverse dishes available at the onboard bar. Passengers can choose from hot and cold dishes, sandwiches and a special children’s snack. By ordering before departure, passengers can enjoy a 10% discount, supporting the airline’s mission to reduce food waste.
Reducing waste remains a cornerstone of Discover Airlines’ operational strategy. The airline uses an AI-controlled loading system on short- and medium-haul flights, which calculates the optimal amount of food to load based on factors such as time of day, route and historical consumption patterns. This innovative approach not only reduces food waste, but also ensures that passengers’ needs are met efficiently.
