We at Tourism Malaysia London are delighted to once again be participating in the much-anticipated National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival, scheduled to take place from 20-21 July 2024, at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London. This event is a celebration of travel and culinary arts, providing attendees with the opportunity to experience Malaysia’s diverse food heritage.
After three successful editions, the festival returns, bigger and more impressive. Known for its cultural diversity and dynamic food scene in Southeast Asia, Malaysia will be offering a tempting array of cuisines at Pavilion B2. Malaysia Tourism in London will showcase Malaysia as a premier destination for foodies, highlighting the unique blend of Malay, Chinese and Indian influences that make up the food scene. The pavilion will also showcase Malaysia’s diverse tourism and hospitality offerings, including diverse accommodation, extensive tours and stunning natural landscapes.
The festival offers a rare opportunity to watch world-famous chefs showcase their skills and share their favourite cooking techniques.
On July 21, from 2:30pm to 3:00pm, renowned Malaysian chef, author and TV personality Norman Musa will host a special Malaysian street food masterclass at the festival’s Saffron Theatre. Chef Musa will teach attendees how to prepare roti canai accompanied by Malaysian chicken curry.
In addition, visitors to the Malaysia Tourism stand can enter a raffle to win a trip to Malaysia, thanks to a collaboration with Malaysia Airlines and YTL Hotels. The prize includes flights on Malaysia Airlines, a luxury stay at the Majestic Hotel Kuala Lumpur and Tanjung Jara Resort, with added benefits such as access to the Kuala Lumpur Gold Lounge on the return journey.
Tourism Malaysia in London invites everyone to the National Geographic Traveller (UK) Food Festival to delve into Malaysia’s rich culinary traditions and enjoy an array of flavours and aromas that promise a captivating culinary adventure. Don’t miss this great opportunity to immerse yourself in a cultural and gastronomic feast.
