Hong Kong International Airport is supporting the inaugural Super Terminal Expo in November 2024, ensuring the event will be held in Hong Kong, attracting more than 6,000 participants.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is set to host Asia’s first Super Terminal Expo from 5-7 November 2024, and has committed to keeping the event in Hong Kong for the foreseeable future.
Vivian Cheung, Acting Chief Executive of the Airport Authority of Hong Kong, said:“This partnership is a result of our proactive efforts to bring major events to Hong Kong, which will not only bring new ideas and business opportunities to our aviation and transportation sector, but will also benefit the wider Hong Kong economy and further enhance Hong Kong’s attractiveness for major global events.”
Michael Duck, Executive Vice President of Commercial Development at Informa Markets, the event organiser, said:“Hong Kong’s position as a multimodal transportation hub provides unparalleled access to the greater San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, making it the ideal location for the Super Terminal Expo.”
Super Terminal Expo is a leading event dedicated to the design, construction and operation of passenger and cargo terminals. The 2024 edition will be held at AsiaWorld-Expo in Hong Kong, and is expected to attract more than 6,000 participants and 300 exhibitors from mainland China and abroad.
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is renowned for its exceptional multi-modal connectivity, offering flights to nearly 220 destinations worldwide through around 120 airlines, reaching half of the world’s population within five hours of flying time. HKIA is also closely linked to other cities in the Greater Bay Area, one of the country’s most economically dynamic regions. This is facilitated by land transport via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge and high-speed ferries at the SkyBear Terminal within the airport’s restricted area, enabling seamless land-air and sea-air transfers to international flights.
