In an exciting development for Disney fans across Asia, Disney Adventure is set to launch from Singapore’s Marina Bay cruise hub in 2025. This marks the first time a Disney Cruise Line ship will dock at a major port in Asia, creating a unique opportunity for travelers to experience the magic of Disney at sea. The largest ship in Disney’s fleet, with a capacity of 6,700 passengers and 2,500 crew members, Disney Adventure promises to offer unparalleled experiences across its seven themed areas.
Disney Magic at Sea
Disney Adventure is part of a five-year partnership between the Singapore Tourism Board and Disney Cruise Line. The collaboration was announced in 2023 with the aim of bringing the magic of Disney to the Asian market. The cruise ship will offer 3- and 4-night itineraries, providing the perfect getaway for families and Disney fans.
Sharon Sisky, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Disney Cruise Line, expressed her excitement, “We are bringing the magic of Disney Cruises to Asia for the first time. We want to give our guests the relaxation of a cruise and the fun of Disney that they can only experience on one of our ships.”
Seven themed areas for endless adventure.
The Disney Adventure will be divided into seven uniquely themed areas, each designed to immerse guests in the beloved worlds of Disney, Pixar and Marvel. These areas include:
- Disney’s Fantasy Park: An enchanted valley inspired by Disney’s century-long legacy, featuring outdoor theatrical performances.
- Wayfinder Bay: A poolside retreat inspired by the Pacific Islands, offering stunning views.
- Game story location: An interactive play area for children, inspired by Pixar’s Toy Story.
- San Fransokyo Street: A bustling area inspired by the movie Big Hero 6, featuring games, shops and a movie theater.
- Marvel Landing: An area for exciting adventures with Marvel heroes.
- Disney Discovery Reefs: An underwater themed area featuring dining and shopping inspired by Disney aquatic characters.
- Town Square: A magical forest featuring shops, lounges and entertainment inspired by different Disney princesses.
Laura Capo, executive creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, described the ship as: “Designed like a treasure map with experiences where magic meets the sea.”
A luxurious and family-friendly experience.
The Disney Adventure ship aims to cater to all ages, with dedicated spaces for kids, teens and adults. Kids and teens will enjoy entertainment zones tailored to their interests, while adults can enjoy fine dining, lavish lounges and tranquil spa experiences. The ship promises to blend Disney’s legendary stories with the latest in entertainment and technology, ensuring an unforgettable journey for every guest.
Although ticket prices have not yet been revealed, Disney Cruise Line says details of the maiden voyage will be announced soon. And since the ship is still under construction in Germany by Meyer Werft, anticipation is building.
A New Chapter in Disney’s Cruise Legacy
The launch of Disney Adventure is a significant milestone for Disney Cruise Line, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The ship joins the Disney Treasure and Disney Destiny fleets, expanding Disney’s global presence in the cruise industry.
The entire Asia is looking forward to the exciting sailing of this amazing cruise. This new adventure not only brings the magic of Disney closer to Asian fans, but also reinforces Singapore’s position as a major cruise hub. As the Disney Adventure prepares to embark on its maiden voyage, it promises to deliver an unforgettable, magical experience that will captivate passengers from across the region.
In conclusion, the arrival of Disney Adventure in Asia represents a new era for family-friendly cruises, blending the allure of Disney with the exploration of the high seas. Whether you are a Disney fan or a cruise enthusiast, Disney Adventure offers a magical journey that promises to create cherished memories for years to come.
