Martini brings Simona Tabasco back to Sicily to taste exquisite cocktails
This summer, Martini turns up the heat in Sicily with Emmy-nominated actress and fashion influencer, Simona Tabasco. Following her captivating performance on the hit TV show “The White Lotus,” Simona returns to the island that stole the world’s hearts, taking Martini with her to celebrate the unparalleled magic of an Italian summer. For over 160 years, Martini has been synonymous with Italian elegance and craftsmanship, making Sicily the perfect backdrop for this legacy. Martini invites you to explore the magic of Sicily through Simona’s eyes—from enjoying authentic liqueurs at iconic spots like BamBar to sunny days at La Plage, all while sipping the drink of the season: the Martini Spritzeto.
“Sicily holds a special place in my heart; it’s a magical place to be in the summer,” said Simona. “I’ve had such a great time sharing drinks with friends on the stunning terrace at Morgana Bar, or soaking up the energy at Pam Bar, my go-to spot for a refreshing granita and a spritzer martini al fresco.”
Great match in aperitivo paradise
A tribute to iconic Italy – Martini and Simona Tabasco embody the playful sophistication and easy-going calm of Italy that is irresistible. To capture the essence of their shared style, Martini teamed Simona with renowned mixologist Maura Melia, formerly of the legendary Connaught Bar in London, to create a bespoke cocktail: the Martini Simona Spritz. The perfect blend of sweet and spicy; the light vanilla sweetness of the Martini Bianco and the peach and citrus notes of Prosecco are beautifully balanced by the spicy kick of chilli pepper. This spicy twist on the classic Bianca Spritz is as vibrant and memorable as Simona herself.
“Working with Simona on this signature drink was a dream,” said Maura Melia. “The new recipe for a martini with a touch of spice is very exciting. This year, spicy cocktails have been at the forefront of cocktails, gaining momentum as bartenders look to use chilli, hot sauce and other powerful ingredients to make a real impact.”
