CLEAR expanded to Daniel K. Inouye Airport in Honolulu with new security lanes, improving travel efficiency and creating jobs, benefiting the local economy and passengers.
CLEAR (NYSE: YOU), a leading provider of secure identity solutions, announced today the launch of its pioneering identity verification technology at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu. The initiative aims to enhance the airport’s security screening process. The rollout of CLEAR technology at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport is expected to create 64 new jobs and generate an estimated $3.6 million in annual economic benefits to the local community. Earlier in April, CLEAR also implemented its security screening lanes at Kahului Airport in Maui and announced a partnership with Hawaiian Airlines to simplify travel for passengers. CLEAR’s presence at both Daniel K. Inouye International Airport and Hanoi International Airport is expected to create approximately 100 jobs and contribute approximately $6 million annually to the local economy.
Today’s launch marks another milestone in CLEAR’s nationwide expansion, now serving 58 airports through its optional CLEAR Plus membership, serving more than 22 million members. CLEAR members enjoy the convenience of dedicated lanes where they can seamlessly and securely verify their identity using their eyes or fingerprints, eliminating the need for wallets and driver’s licenses. Once verified, a CLEAR Ambassador guides members through the dedicated lane directly to TSA physical security, significantly reducing wait times at security checkpoints.
“CLEAR is pleased to add Honolulu to its list of airport partners, and join Maui in providing seamless and reliable travel experiences for travelers across the islands. We look forward to this partnership and the jobs and positive economic impact it will bring to the community.” Karen Seidman Baker, CEO of CLEAR, said:
“We are pleased to offer frequent travelers at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport another option to make security screening faster and more convenient.” Ed Sniffin, director of the Hawaii Department of Transportation, said: “The addition of CLEAR service at Kahului Airport earlier this year was well received by travelers departing from Maui, and now travelers at HNL will also be able to take advantage of this service.”
Through its recently announced partnership with Hawaiian Airlines, CLEAR is offering HawaiianMiles members a discounted rate on CLEAR Plus membership. This preferential rate allows HawaiianMiles members to expedite their security process at HNL, OGG and 56 other airports nationwide. Additionally, partner rates are available to members of Alaska Airlines, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines and American Express.
CLEAR Plus members can add up to three family members or friends to their account for $99 each, with family members under 18 always joining for free in the CLEAR Lane. Beyond airports, CLEAR members can seamlessly and cost-free verify their identity in a variety of scenarios, such as checking into hotels, visiting doctors, renting cars, or attending sporting events.
